Default Do you let your kids play in the rain?

I can remember when I was younger my parents let us go out and play in the rain. We got all muddy and wet, but had so much fun. I never see kids in the rain anymore. Why do you think that is? My daughter is too girly to want to go out and play in it, but I wonder if my son would when he got older? Do you let your kids play in the rain? Yes or no? If no, do you have a reason?

As long as there isn't any lightening, I don't mind if my kids play in the rain. Most times, at least here, there seems to be lightening somewhere in the sky.

yes i do if theres not lighting sometimes i will even go out and play with him! last month we went to six flags over texas and while we were there it started pooring everyone was under buildings but i didnt want the rain to bother us so me and andre ran around jumping in puddles. I noticed a lot of the moms and some older people looking at us and shaking there heads. he had a lot of fun and thats all that mattered to me!

Sam loves to play in the rain! We play with him too. Lexi, doesn't like it so much, but she is still crawling. She sits on the porch and laughs at us.

I let Wyatt play in the rain when it's not lightening out. The other day I stripped him down to his diaper and let him play out on the front sidewalk. I remember when I was little I LOVED playing in the rain!

My kids ended up spending about an hour outside today jumping on the trampoline in the rain! Landan said he saw one lady who was driving by glance up (she could see them jumping above the line of the fence) and put her hand over her mouth, like she was shocked. LOL! Puhhhlease.

I always loved playing in the rain. I don't mind if my daughter is outside with my playing, as long as its not flooding or lightening. You don't see too many kids playing in the rain anymore. I did see 3 girls, from age 8 - 13, outside today in the neighborhood walking through the water in the drains and jumping to puddles. It just made me smile and laugh. Its good to see kids being kids.

I'll take Jade out for a little bit and enjoy the rain but not for too long don't want her to get sick. She loves the rain . When shes older I'll let her play more outside in it since she is a little clutzy :P

I would love to let my daughter play in the rain, she hates to get her face/hair wet. Sometimes at splash day at day care she won't even participate bc she doesnt care to get wet. I guess she gets it from me, I'm not big on water either. Maybe when she gets older

Oh the joys of childhood playing in the rain. It was so much fun! As for seeing kids out playing in the rain these days kids don't really get out to play much in the first place. My oldest kids do not like to play in the rain, but my youngest two think it is the greatest.
