Default Best cleaner ever

I've started using a paste of baking soda and lemon juice when I need to really scrub something clean (like my stove) and it's fantastic! Not only does it work really well, it smells great and is totally non-toxic. I just bought a huge bag of baking soda and bottles of lemon juice at Sam's Club and I'm good to go for at least a few months. Our new house has a glass cook-top, so I had to find something that would work on it, since I don't like using the chemical cleaners. You just have to rinse it well afterward, or it leaves streaks.

Thanks! I would have never thought to use that. I use those blue soapy type SOS pads on my glass top stove. They work pretty good.

Thanks for the great cleaning tip! I will have to try this. I love natural cleaners and the smell of lemon.

Another great cleaning tip:

Use vinegar on the crud build up around sink faucets. Just spray on and let sit. Come back about 15 minutes later and it just wipes away!

Vinegar is great, I use it on everything! About a 50/50 mix with water. It works really well as an all purpose cleaner and as a glass cleaner. Club soda works on glass too!

I keep a bottle of 50/50 vinegar and water and one of bleach and water. Those are my two favorite cleaning sprays. I also use real lemons and limes, cut them in half and use them to scrub my sink down, especially around the drain area. Works great and has it's own handy holder.

*And coffee drinkers, don't forget to use pure vinegar in your coffee pot once a month. Let it cycle through twice and then use the vinager to scrub your toilet or even sink. (The coffee smell is fine in those places.)
