He meets all the standards for being in a booster, and he already has a high back in Matthew's truck, but, he is still in a 5-point harness in my car. I just don't know if I am being overprotective or what, so I need some advise!!

Hey guys, how do you feel about a procedure that gets rid of your period? I am working on a story about it for the Abilene Reporter-News (I freelance for them at home) and would love some input from actual women. If you don't mind being quoted in the paper, leave me your thoughts along with your full name and town.

Specifically, the story is about endometrial ablation where the lining of the uterus is eliminated and it pretty much eliminates your period. This procedure is mostly for women who have problems with abnormally heavy bleeding. It's not for women who plan to have more children or for women who are already menopausal. There are no menopausal effects from the procedure since your ovaries are still there. However, you still have PMS, but no bleeding.

My doctor, Dr. Daniell, said that he has seen about half of his patients have their periods return in about 5 years, but their periods are still more manageable than they were before.

Anyway, share your thoughts if you don't mind being in the newspaper. I would love to hear from someone who has had this done.

If you would rather not post here, email me at kimberlyjgray@hotmail.com. I'll also be glad to talk to you by phone. if you let me know by email, I'll give you my number.

Thanks!

I have recently gotten more and more gray hair. I cut my hair short about six months ago and it shows alot more since most of my gray hair is on the sides. I have off and on dyed it over the years but its never really been to cover gray as much as to just play with other colors. When I dye it though it always damages my hair and my hair grows fast so it has to be redone almost every three weeks. Not worth it. My mother has dyed her hair and ran from the gray for years. Saying that its the gray that she's trying to cover. I have had alot of people jokingly commenting on how old I'm getting cause my hair is going grayer more lately. I have no problem with this but I wonder how many people plan to grow old gracefully? Letting nature take its course on your bodies, I know we've talked about whether we would lift, tuck or things like that on other threads. But this one is simple. Hair would you allow your hair to gray as you age or are you pretty well a dye job gal? And if So when would you stop dying it?

I know older ladies that the dye looks great on them. very natural but on other women it looks fake and not so great and you know they are in their 70's so who they trying to fool.. lmao.. sorry thought I would throw that in..

Being a second time around Mom I know what to expect in many ways but there are always the same challenges from the first time around. One of the biggest for me is my patience running out. Seems from the age of about 2 until about 6 they try to test every limit they can and it makes me batty. I was raised in an abusive home and when someone acted bad they got beat up. I never wanted to pass that down to my children so when I get frustrated I guess I beat myself up more than anyone else could for losing my cool. I know its normal and especially with the extra stress our family deals with having a family member in a wheelchair for the past 24 years. There seem to be so many stresses in my life:

Child with a physical disability that needs full time hands on care.

Starting a new job (although I love it added some stress)

Toddlerism.. omg need I explain.

Husband disagreements (parenting, money and other things that normal couples fuss about)

Managing my older daughters programs that she's on ( like a small business with all the paperwork)

Being the repair person, bill paying manager, food cooker, laundry finisher, answer all the questions person, cleaner, organizer and all the other hats mothers wear.

I feel like I stink at parenting some days because I can't seem to get a grip on my stress level and it seems to climb so quickly. I know I'm not alone and I know Christine will be first to reply to this..lol I just had a rough day and the wall hit back.

What do you do when your stress levels rise. The only thing I do is try to walk to another room but Maleah follows me alot and keeps pushing my buttons. So I have to sometimes lock myself in a room for a second. Take deep breaths and calm down. However when I'm backed against a wall I typically don't hold my cool well. I try to not let the kids see me venting but sometimes we all slip. Although it does sometimes help to look crazy to your kids.. stops them dead in their tracks.. they don't know how to react and know they have gone too far and then back down..lol

Ok ladies...

I am looking just for some opinions. My husband and I are looking at taking a trip to Ohio beginning of Sept. We were wanting to take a detour down to Florida before coming home (mind you we are taking 2-12 off for travel). I have a 4 month old.

We were looking at airlines but we didn't know how it would work as we would probably need his carseat and his stroller (maybe if we go out and stuff). Did any of you ladies actually take these? If not, what did you do for your young one? He doesn't have too much support as he is just around 15lbs and is just now getting the hang of controlling his neck. We just notice it was a little cheaper to fly but the items we would need is stopping it.

Right now we are settling on driving and I'd like to go to Florida but if we drive, we might not be able to get there with a young on.

Just some advise or something please...
